Discover the Magic of Nature-Based Learning

At Wise Roots Collective we believe that every child is a unique and valuable individual, with their own gifts and talents to share. We aim to plant roots of wisdom instilling a deep connection to nature that they all need and deserve. We draw our inspiration from a palette of child-centered traditions including Waldorf, Forest School, and Montessori. Here children can evolve in a playful, supportive environment learning the necessary tools of logic and critical thinking while pushing their physical and creative limits through art, music and nature play.

 

We deepen their learning with animal/plant identification learning the local flora/fauna. We encourage good eating practices by tying in diet and nutrition as the foundation of health and well being and help them make connections to their food sources - where it comes from, who grew it, it's biochemistry and how it affects our cells. We build up fine motor skills with sewing, knife work, knot tying, building fires, wood working and anything else that the children or us are inspired to facilitate for them!
